Ministries and Missions
Children's Ministries
We
love and greatly value children. We take seriously the need to teach our
children to live rightly and develop into strong, godly men and women.
During our
Children's Sunday School we teach children about Jesus and the Word of God
through Bible stories, Bible
verses, and fun, engaging activities. Before the sermon during our worship
service we take the pre-school aged children out for a time of learning and
fun as well.
On
Wednesday nights, during our Prayer Meeting, we have a Missions Friends
program. During this time we teach children about the ways God is at work
through missionaries around the world and across the United States through
stories and crafts.
Women's Ministries
We
have a bi-weekly women's Bible study which meets Thursday evenings.
Currently this study is working through the book A Woman's Walk with God:
Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit by Elizabeth George. To find
out when and where this Bible study meets, see our
schedule.
Men's Ministries
Every
month our men meet together at the church on Saturday morning for fellowship
and prayer. All men are welcome to join with us for this time.
To find out when this prayer time is, see our
schedule.
Community Outreach
Jesus
did not merely teach the truth, but he ministered to people's needs as well.
We believe it is important to live out the gospel by showing the love of
Christ to those in our community. We are currently developing community
outreach ministries and would love
any suggestions as to how we can help meet the needs of those around us.
Missions
At
Covenant Baptist Church we desire to see God's glory known amongst people of
all nations, tribes and tongues. We are the church home to an experienced
missionary couple who desire to return to the field after completing studies
in the States. We support the International
Mission Board (IMB) both financially and in prayer. We teach our
children about the importance of missions every Wednesday night. Eventually
Covenant desires to become more directly involved in missionary endeavors
overseas.
